Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable individual to join the Medical Education Team. The post-holder will work closely with the Medical Education Manager, Foundation Training Programme Directors, IMT Tutor and Directors of Medical Education to promote, develop and support the provision of postgraduate medical education services in compliance with the national and local policies, procedures and contracts
Main duties of the job
- Work closely with Training Programme Directors to manage and deliver training programmes, including teaching, organising ARCPs, and portfolio management
- Responsible for creating and maintaining up to date electronic data processes, including contact lists
- Responsible for updating, maintaining and reporting on the consultant educator accreditation database
- Administration support for Local Faculty Group Meetings including minute-taking
- Administrative support as required to underpin the quality framework, for internal and external requirements.

Essential criteria
- GCSE at Grade C/ Grade 4 or above including English and Maths or equivalent.
- ECDL or equivalent demonstrable experience
Desirable criteria
- Degree or equivalent experience working in the NHS environment
- Managerial experience Evidence of continuing professional development
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working with clinical staff in the NHS or equivalent in an administrative capacity
- Experience of previous administration experience.in a customer related role
- Experience of meeting deadlines to agreed standards
- Experience of supervising staff
Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS administrative experience or in a similar setting e.g. Event co-ordination i.e. meetings, conferences, etc
- Experience of working in NHS Medical Education
- Experience of administering and attending meetings
Skills
Essential criteria
- Comprehensive skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS teams/Zoom .
- Clear effective communication and interpersonal skills – written and verbal.
- Able to compose effective emails and letters
- Proficient in meeting minute taking
- Planning and organisational skills – ability to manage own workload
- Database management knowledge and experience.
- Ability to exercise judgement in sometimes pressurised circumstances when dealing with staff/patient enquiries
Desirable criteria
- Managing accounts and data in Excel.
- Undertaking surveys and compiling reports on the outcomes.
