Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Senior Occupational Therapy assistant to join our Community Treatment Team. The CTT supports patients who are in crisis (physical crisis) to remain in their own home.
You must have previous NHS experience & worked as a OTA in a therapy setting. You will need an ability to work under pressure, as part of a team & to be able to adapt to changes.
This post will work closely with PT, OTs & SW's to provide high quality, patient-centred, holistic therapy input.
Main duties of the job
Your role will include assessments, implementation/evaluation of treatment needs.
You must have completed an NVQ 3/BTEC in Health & Social Care or have a willingness to work towards this. You must also have relevant IT skills. Various training & development opportunities are available.
This job requires that you have the ability to travel within the community to carry out your work & attend training/meetings.

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High-Cost Area Supplement - London
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436).
