West London NHS Trust  provides a full range of mental health, community  and physical healthcare services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.

We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

We require a Dietetics Administrator to join our friendly department of Dietitians providing the nutrition and dietetic service to Hounslow Borough.  

The Dietetics Administrator will be responsible for organising timely administrative and secretarial support to the Dietetics Team (incl. Specialist Teams Services), working closely with the Single Point of Access.

To work closely with the clinical team/service managers in ensuring the efficient delivery, management and service improvement of business systems to support the delivery of high-quality frontline clinical services. 

The post holder will co-ordinate a comprehensive administrative support service to the clinical teams and an efficient referral an appointment/visiting management system via the electronic patient database. Ensuring the provision of high-quality customer services in the interface between the patients, carers, primary care, secondary care, community care, social care and voluntary organisations. 

The post holder will be expected to work within standard operating procedures and Trust policies, using their initiative in meeting the delivery plan to expected timescales agreed with the Lead Administrator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Deliver the service appointment and diary systems, processing new referrals and sending out appropriate documentation to clients and referrers.
2.    The post holder is required to work from site (Heart of Hounslow). Flexible working will be considered in accordance with service needs and approval from the service manager. 

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITES
•    Responsible for the ordering of standard stock/non-stock stationery, general supplies and office equipment for the administration, medical, nursing and therapy teams in line with Trust guidelines to maintain expenditure within allocated budgets and divisional cost improvement plans, ensuring adequate stocks are maintained at each base. 

EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Review and reflect on practice and identify areas for self-development through participation in the annual appraisal system and regular clinical and professional supervision.
2.    Maintain a professional portfolio for CPD, recording learning outcomes and reflections through daily practice, internal and external development opportunities.


PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Comply with statutory and mandatory training in accordance with Trust policy.


The post holder may, with their agreement, which should not reasonably be withheld, be required to undertake other duties as required, which fall within the grading of this post, to meet the needs of this new and developing service.
