The Cellular Pathology Department which is based at Northwick Park Hospital requires a one-year fixed term locum consultant in Cellular Pathology, with a special interest in Head & Neck, Uropathology, lung, Gastrointestinal, liver and Breast Pathology who will work alongside an established team of twelve other pathologists.

Candidates wishing to work part time or additional PAs will also be considered.

There is a stratified payment system in place for internal backlog management that allows payments reflective of complexity to be made for additional cases undertaken.

Main duties of the job

The department of Cellular Pathology at NPH was joined by the St Mark’s Academic Unit of Gastrointestinal Pathology in 1995 and by the CMH department in 2002. It occupies levels 4WX and 6X, part of the wing of the campus that houses the endoscopy suite, St Mark’s and the Northwick Park Institute for Medical Research (NPIMR). Within the department are two interconnecting seminar rooms (seating for up to 60 persons).
