Drake ward ( Haematology Ward) is looking for a dynamic nurse who is willing to rise to the challenge, one who possesses the combined qualities of enthusiasm, decisiveness, and competence and the ability to work with a diverse team of nurses into achieving the goals set by the unit and in upholding the highest standards of patient-centred care as principled by the NMC.

Main duties of the job

Drake ward ( Haematology Ward) is looking for a dynamic nurse who is willing to rise to the challenge, one who possesses the combined qualities of enthusiasm, decisiveness, and competence and the ability to work with a diverse team of nurses into achieving the goals set by the unit and in upholding the highest standards of patient-centred care as principled by the NMC.

• The post holder will support the senior nurses and Clinical Nurse Manager in delivering care to patients within the Haematology Unit.
• To support the Team / Ward Sister in providing a unified approach to high standards of patient care ensuring patients privacy and dignity maintained at all times.
• Actively participate in the admission and discharge process for patients and responsible in delivering safe, effective and compassionate care.
• The post-holder will deliver high quality patient care and support both patients and their relatives by acting professionally as a role model for excellence in nursing.
• The post-holder will participate in a teaching and development programme for all staff. They will act as role models for more junior members of staff that join the Trust

  • Mentorship Experience

  • IV Drug Administration Competency
  • Cannulation/Phlebotomy Competency

  • Experience within Haematology inpatients.
