Are you looking to develop your skills and enjoy a varied role within a well-established dietetic team? We have a new dietetic role which will work across the medical and surgical wards at Northwick Park Hospital and on the Regional Hyper-Acute Rehabilitation Unit (RHRU) also based at Northwick Park. The RHRU is a 24 bedded unit which provides Level 1 care for hyper and post-acute patients and in-patient rehabilitation for those with severe complex neuro-disability needing specialist care.
The post holder would be an integrated part of the acute dietetic team which includes a range of specialities including intensive care, gastroenterology, paediatrics, stroke, diabetes, oncology and head and neck across 3 hospital sites. There are therefore many opportunities for continued professional development. We have an established supervision and appraisal programme and support students across the year.
We are looking for a dietitian with experience working in nutrition support particularly enteral feeding who is confident in contributing to ethical decisions around feeding, transitioning patients on and off enteral feeding and knowledge of enteral feeding complications and their treatment. They will also need to be a good communicator with excellent organisational and time management skills and an ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team.

The post will be split 3 days on the acute wards and 2 days on RHRU. Whilst on RHRU the dietitian would work alongside a full-time specialist dietitian and would be an integrated part of the Therapy and multi-disciplinary team. There is the opportunity to gain experience in goal setting and interdisciplinary rehabilitation.
