Job overview

Hardy ward are looking for HCA that can provide reassurance and support to patients and carers/family.
Provide information to enable the effectiveness of care to be evaluated and records maintained.
Report any concern regarding patient care.
Be able to locate all policies relating to good working practice within the clinical area and able to
adhere to them.
Ensure appropriate information is available on the ward for patients and visitors in relation to health
promotion.
The post holder must maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff and health 

Main duties of the job

At London North West Hospital NHS Trust we recognize the value of care and compassion in health care and have an exciting opportunity for Healthcare Assistants to join our team providing excellent care to our patients within the Integrated Medicine Division.


With the patient at the centre of all you do, we are looking for compassionate, enthusiastic and confident, experienced, Nursing Assistants, who are able under supervision, to provide the highest standard of care. You will need to be able to prioritise, work under pressure and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education and Qualification

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE/GCE O’Level (or equivalent, inclusive of English and Math) or demonstrate experience in a similar role
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ level 2 in Healthcare (2)
  • Customer Care training (2)

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Working in a caring capacity with people. This may be in hospital, residential or nursing home or domiciliary setting. The work may have been paid or voluntary.
  • The basic elements of personal care. Including washing, dressing, assisting with toileting, nutritional support, moving and handling
Desirable criteria
  • Acute NHS Hospital experience. As a Health Care Assistant
  • Experience of monitoring vital signs including: Temperature Blood pressure

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Good written English
