Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 4 Senior  Rehabilitation Assistant to support ITT.  The successful candidates will have previous experience working in occupational therapy/physiotherapy community setting . They will also be passionate and motivated about care in the community. 

Full training and competency programme will be provided and you will be supported by registered staff in the team to enhance your knowledge in this field and your ability to support falls patients.

On completion of competency programme, successful candidates will be able to manage their own non-complex caseload.

 

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an individual who has:

  • Relevant experience in a health and social care setting and base level of Occupational therapy/Physiotherapy knowledge
  • Knowledge of patient/client conditions relevant to  community rehabilitation
  • Ability to work under own direction
  • Able to travel to meet the need of the role by car and hold full UK driving license.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement – London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,108 to a maximum of £5,177).

Essential criteria
  • Relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalentCompleted
