Main duties of the job
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a substantive consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to provide cover for labour wards, rapid access clinic and general gynae operating. It is also expected that the individual will have an interest in Obstetrics risk.
Whilst the main working site will be Royal Free Hospital – Hampstead site, there will be flexible cross site working to include Barnet General, Chase Farm, Edgware Community and Finchley memorial hospitals.
Working for our organisation
The successful candidate will be supported by a multi-disciplinary team of gynaecologists, specialist nurses and allied health professionals. The candidate should be keen to work as part of a team and develop good relationships with other staff within and outside of the department. Engagement with innovation, audit, quality improvement and research will be expected.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The successful candidate is expected to be fully trained in all aspects of general gynaecology, independent at elective and emergency day case and inpatient gynaecology surgery, competent at managing gynaecological emergencies including early pregnancy complications.
