To provide a comprehensive CAMHS Mental Health Liaison service and assessment within acute hospital departments and wards across two acute hospital trusts and three acute hospital sites.
Offering a service 7 days a week from 9pm to 9am. Developing plans of care and make difficult decisions in cases where patients are exhibiting complex psychosocial needs and/or challenging behaviours.
Responsible for undertaking comprehensive clinical assessments of service users, including risk assessment, risk management planning, formulation and ongoing care planning, signposting or onward referral.
Including where appropriate, effective liaison and partnership working with colleagues from acute hospital trusts, children's social care, and community CAMHS services.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436 p.a. pro rata for part time).
High Cost Area Supplement - Fringe
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,192 to a maximum of £2,011 p.a. pro rata for part time).

2. To be responsible for offering and implementing a of high standards of clinical care ensuring the service provided is needs-led, compliant with national guidance and is viewed positively by service users.
3. To be responsible for undertaking comprehensive clinical assessments of service users, including risk assessment, risk management planning, formulation and ongoing care planning, signposting or onward referral
4. To be responsible for organising and prioritising own workload in the day-today allocation of work.
5. To deputise at request of or when required in the manager's or lead's absence.
6. To educate other nursing and non-nursing staff, both in formal and informal settings. Teaching will also be provided to pre-registration students.
7. To have organisational knowledge relating to Trust protocols and procedures and adhere to them, including knowledge and application of administration of medicine and moving and handling.
8. To be responsible for providing accurate records of information required by the Trust for record-keeping and audit purposes.
9. To ensure effective risk management at team level by accident/incident reporting, assessing and controlling risk and ensuring residual risks are added to the Trust register.
10. To provide specialist clinical expertise within own occupation.
11. To provide specialist clinical advice to other team members on the suitability of carious
assessments and intervention methods where appropriate.
12.To act at all times as a role model in their clinical specialism, raising the profile and value of the role they provide, both to own team and to acute services and community colleagues.
13.To support the Trust values in their day-to-day role.
14.To be responsible for specific clinical responsibilities and undertake all necessary work to complete these, including facilitating meetings, liaising and/or negotiating

- • NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy. Current RMN or AMHP registration
- • Demonstration of Trust Values

- • Evidence of post-registration clinical development.

- • Ability to perform under pressure, quickly and effectively, making timely managerial decisions in conjunction with the Team lead and following through available agreed care pathways
