Sexual Health London is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Recall Adviser to join our team in Chelsea.
You will be responsible for supporting London residents with their sexual health needs via a digital platform and telephony line.
The role involves both home and on-site working and hours can be flexible but days are set at Monday - Friday.

Main duties of the job
Sexual Health London (SHL.UK) is London’s only sexual health e-service, launched in 2018, that provides free and easy access to sexual health testing and contraception via the internet and local venues.
The service is available to people aged 16 and over who are residents in most Boroughs of London.
The service provides emergency and routine contraception and testing for a range of sexually transmitted infections (chlamydia, gonorrhoea, HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and hepatitis C) via self-sampling at home and to date, over two million Londoners have used SHL.
We are recruiting for a Band 4 Recall Adviser to join our team. As an online and digital service, our ideal candidate should be competent in using online services and be confident communicating with service users through a range of virtual methods, including a recorded telephony line.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To recall, in conjunction with the HA team, patients with untreated infections or those in need offollow up, by text, telephone, letter/recorded letter according to the recall policy and to clearly document all actions taken.
- To initiate Partner Notification on all patients spoken to re untreated infections and document clearly on the clinical system.
- Exchange relevant information about patients and contacts with other GUM services where necessary.
- To manage the e-services work-lists, ensuring that all patients needing treatment or follow up aredealt with according to the Health Adviser guidelines.
- Manage the online clinical system ensuring patients get their results within the appropriate timeframes.
- Deal with routine enquiries from both the general public and health professionals about sexually transmitted infections including HIV, referring onto the Health Adviser team where necessary.
- To accurately use the online clinical system to document all positive results/patient based activity.
- To make/check appointments as necessary for patients in conjunction with the HA team.
- To check Health Adviser voicemail and email address daily and deal with any enquires.
- To assist the Health Adviser team in regular audit activity around key performance indicators including Partner Notification.

Essential criteria
- Demonstratable literacy & numeracy skills
- Evidence of secondary education
- NQV Level 3 or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of further education inluding study days around sexual health & HIV
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstratable experience within an NHS admin or clinical role/setting and/or equivalent experience providing customer care
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team
Desirable criteria
- Clinical experience in HIV/GUM
- Basic knowledge of STI's and HIV
- Experience of telephone work with Patients
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
