An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic qualified Family and Systemic Psychotherapist who is interested in developing skills to further professional progression. The post is in a busy, committed and well-established Tier 3.5 Adolescent Team in Bexley CAMHS who work young people and families who are at risk of inpatient admission as a result of severe mental health problems, risk to self or others, with highly complex presentations and systems.  The team uses a mentalization based approach (AMBIT, MBT-A, MBT-F and MBT-P). Main duties of the job

Preceptorship roles for recently qualified Family & Systemic Psychotherapist have been developed in Oxleas CAMHS to provide a framework that enables us to support colleagues to develop beyond their newly qualified role with a progressive and satisfying job plan. It is intended to support staff wellbeing, encourage the retention of quality staff and support children, young people, and their families with greater consistency of care.

Bexley CAMHS is currently in the process of a redesign to align with the Thrive framework to ensure timely, responsive and needs based mental health interventions for the children and young people in Bexley.  Postholders will contribute to initial assessment clinics which will be robustly supported through post assessment multi-disciplinary case discussions.  You will manage a caseload split between care coordination and therapy cases, as well as supporting triage and emergency rotas along with the rest of the team. You will contribute systemic thinking into the work of this busy, friendly multi-disciplinary service.  You will be encouraged to develop and lead on creative service development initiatives which meet the needs of the population.
