Job overview

A vacancy has become available for a Driver/Porter at our Decontamination Unit in Enfield the shift pattern is Tuesday to Saturday   06:00  to 14:00.  You will receive an enhancement in pay for working Saturday. 

On arrival for interview a DVLA licence check will take place, if the checks are satisfactory the interview will take place. Please bring with you your UK Driving Licence and National Insurance number. 

You will need to be flexible to meet the demands of this role and you must have the relevant experience as indicated in the main duties of the job.

Main duties of the job

Your role will be to assist with the day-to-day delivery and collection of medical devices from our NHS and external customers within the London area and beyond and will require you to have the following

  • A clean driving license category C1 and if you passed your test on or after 1st January 1997 category B.
  • Previous van driving experience up to 3.5 tons and short wheel base  transit vans. 
  • Experience of delivering to multi drop locations
  • Experience of customer relations and problem solving
  • Experience of organising loads and routes
