Job overview
The outpatient department demands the highest standards of nursing care and professionalism. It is important to remember that patients may judge the quality of care received in the outpatients department as representative of the rest of the hospital, and this may influence their decision regarding further treatment.
The applicant is required to provide assistance and support in the outpatient clinic working both as part of a team . There is a requirement to rotate through all the clinic types and the 2 hospitals. Training will be provided as appropriate. Current hours of service are Monday to Friday 08.00 to 18.00 x3 ,08:00-17:30x 1 DO X 1

Applicants successful at the shortlisting stage will be invited to an Assessment Day (written Numeracy and Literacy test followed by formal interview).
Main duties of the job
To assist the nursing staff in maintaining patients well-being and dignity in a safe environment and in maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
To understand and adhere to all relevant trust policies and procedures.
To be polite and professional at all times.
To understand and support safeguarding principles for patients and escalate any concerns to the registered nurse.
At all times to respect patients’ privacy and dignity
To work in close collaboration with the Infection Control Team.
To ensure that monitoring of clinical practice is undertaken at the agreed frequency.
To ensure that the department environments are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards; ensuring that shortfalls are rectified, or escalate as necessary.
