Job overview

The Post-holder will work as part of the Outpatient's team ensuring, polite, courteous, efficient, high quality and timely Service to Patients and clinical staff ensuring patient care is not  compromised.  Post-holder will meet and greet, manage electronic systems, check in/out as Patients arrive whilst maintaining a welcoming and professional service in line with Trust Values. Post-holder will also carry out general admin tasks as and when required.

Main duties of the job

Meet and Greet Patients. Check patients into Clinic upon arrival in accordance with the Trust outpatient Standard Operational Procedures.

Check out patients on the Cerner System after consultation ensuring all data is recorded accurately and appropriately.  Make follow up appointments for various Services.

Record all patients that did not attend/WNB (Was not brought) .  Deal sensitively with all patient queries and keep patients informed as to clinic delays.

Assist Administration Team in Westgate House with distribution of reports, uploading, incoming mail as needed daily.

Deal with clinical staff queries,  ensure cover at all time in the Reception area.

Telephone reminder calls to patients day before clinic. Other administrative duties as and when required.

Liaise with Clinic Appointments Administrator regarding cancellations, reschedules.

 

 

Working for our organisation

We are a team of Paediatricians as part of The Royal Free London Foundation Trust,  who see children and young people for an assessment of developmental issues/impairments/neuro diverse complex needs.    We provide diagnoses, treatments and further investigations/referrals to our other colleagues within the Community with whom we are working with closely as part of a Multi-disciplinary team/network .  Our Child Health Hub is based at Edgware Hospital.  Working across the wider community, we aim to offer a safe, efficient, seamless service to families.
