Main duties of the job
What You'll Do:
Support the design, roll-out, and maintenance of the Trust’s ePMA system, ensuring alignment with national standards.
Provide specialist clinical and technical advice, supporting system configuration, risk management, and safety improvements.
Develop training programmes for pharmacy, medical, and nursing staff to optimise system use.
Support Information Governance Lead for the pharmacy department, ensuring compliance with data protection and patient safety regulations.
Support system upgrades and go-lives, including ad-hoc weekend and overnight work as needed.
Deliver medicines optimisation and clinical pharmacy services, including reviewing prescriptions and supporting medicines management.
Collaborate with the Lead ePMA Pharmacist and Medication Safety Officer (MSO) on governance, medication error reduction, and audit initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
MPharm (or equivalent) and GPhC registration
Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy practice
Proven experience in ePMA implementation, pharmacy IT systems, and digital transformation
Strong leadership, change management, and project delivery skills
Excellent communication, training, and stakeholder engagement abilities
Ability to analyse medication safety data, clinical risk, and prescribing patterns
Desirable: Experience at a strategic level, formal leadership training, MSc in Clinical Pharmacy, or coding/database management skills.
