Main duties of the job

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse who has experience in providing continence care for both bladder & bowel dysfunction and has the  skills and knowledge in this specialist area. If so we would be pleased to welcome you as part of our team.

Person specification

Qualifications/Training.

Essential criteria
  • Registered General Nurse
  • Evidence of post basic professional development
  • Demonstrate evidence-based practice and up-to-date clinical skills
Desirable criteria
  • Relevant teaching/mentorship qualification or commitment to undertake
  • Post-registration nursing experience, including community experience

Areas of Experience and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of and commitment to multi-professional working
  • Understanding of the interface between primary and secondary care
  • Demonstrate an understanding of clinical governance and application to clinical practice
  • Knowledge of the principles of Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Children
  • Knowledge of the principles of health promotion and prevention of illness
  • Evidence of holistic assessment and evaluation skills
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of local services

Communication Skills

Essential criteria
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, using a variety of methods e.g. verbally, written and IT.
  • Ability to disseminate complex information to others
  • Evidence of good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team
