Children's Speech and Language Therapist
Band 5, Full-time

We are looking for a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly team of Speech and Language Therapists, SLT Assistants and administrative support. We would welcome applicants who are either newly qualified or experienced.

This will be a split post role, with part of the week working in the school aged service and autism provisions.

Proposed interview date: Friday 9th Aug 2024.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicants will be enthusiastic about working in partnership with others, including education staff, to support children, young people and their families. The role involves assessment, diagnosis and therapy of children with speech, language and communication needs, as well as training and support for key people in the child's life.

This role will provide you with regular opportunities for close liaison and joint working with members of the SLT team working in the same geographical area as you.  You will also have a dedicated session of admin per week in order to support your caseload management and planning, and professional development.

Croydon Health Services provides integrated NHS services to care for people at home, in schools, and health clinics across the borough as well as at Croydon University Hospital and Purley War Memorial Hospital.

CUH provides more than 100 specialist services and is home to the borough’s only Emergency Department and 24/7 maternity services, including a labour ward, midwifery-led birth centre and the Crocus home birthing team.

Purley War Memorial Hospital (PWMH) in the south of the borough offers outpatient care, including diagnostic services, physiotherapy and ophthalmology services run by Moorfields Eye Hospital, alongside an onsite GP surgery.

Our experienced staff take care of people of all ages across the borough of Croydon.
