We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.
Job overview
The successful candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for delivering a comprehensive and efficient service, for the Reception / Control Room on a day to day basis.
The candidate will be responsible for the delivery of security services through the operation of Access Control, CCTV, X-ray and radio communications
Main duties of the job
Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication and observation skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Knowledge and experience of search procedures, visitor management systems, CCTV, customer service, computerised records would be useful, but not essential.

- Educated to good secondary standard
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge/experience of the principles involved in providing essential support service in an environment where security is of major importance.
- Customer Service NVQ (Level 3)

- Good communication skills, with the ability to maintain a positive approach under pressure.
- To be able to act with appropriate initiative and sensitivity - with full regard to confidentiality - under a wide variety of circumstances.
- To be observant and alert, with a thorough approach to work.
Desirable criteria
- To be able to analyse problems and take forward actions to achieve solutions.
- To have knowledge / experience of computerized data base systems plus relevant keyboard skills
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
