Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the for a Personal Assistant for 26hours per week based in George Turle House, Canterbury. The role will be working alongside the management team reporting directly to the Deputy Director of Psychological Professions for Essex, Kent and Child Services.

The post holder will be required to work on their own initiative to ensure that key activities and engagements are met by the Deputy Director. NHS experience is ideal, and a high level of IT skills is essential.

Main duties of the job

 Responsibilities include; diary management, able to prioritise and take urgent action where required on behalf of the Deputy Director, flexible with an innovative attitude which welcomes new ways of working, assisting the management team as and when required and to provide a responsive and efficient administrative service to meet the needs of the team, producing agendas and minute taking at senior leadership meetings, creating adhoc presentations, collating wideset data across the Trust, manage large spreadsheets which will require regular updates.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust.  All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.  As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.  The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
