Main duties of the job
- To assist the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager in the provision of the day care for children of staff working at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and to deputise for the Nursery Manager and Deputy Nursery Manager.
- Active member of the team in providing a safe, stimulating and emotionally safe environment for children aged 6 months to 5 years
- To adhere to Nursery, Ofsted, EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) National Curriculum and The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust Policies and procedures, including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, and Behaviour Management Policy.
- Take a lead role in the base room including mentoring/leading nursery assistants and students.
- To supervise children at all times, in all areas.
- To promote good working relationships between staff and parents.

Qualification
Essential criteria
- Minimum of Level 3 Childcare qualification-(NNEB, NVQ, CACHE or equivalent)
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Safeguarding Level 2 or Designated Safeguarding Lead
Experience
Essential criteria
- Extensive experience working with children in a Nursery setting
- Experience of record keeping and planning for individual children and groups
Desirable criteria
- Understanding of food hygiene and healthy eating
Skills and Aptitude
Essential criteria
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written
- Confident in communicating with parents/carers, children and others as required.

Interview info: The nursery is located between The Rec Club (off Fleet road) and The Grove Clinic. When entering Fleet Road from Hampstead Heath station, ZamaZingo cafe will be on the right. Turn right where the recreation club is. Walk Straight until you see a pathway on your left and Busy Bees entrance will be there close to the grove clinic. Please press buzzer where you will be asked to present your ID to the camera. Once you have entered the building, please wait in the Lobby area until collected.
