Main duties of the job

Work as part of a team to provide and coordinate administrative services for Therapy Services and Perinatal Pelvic Health Service. Main tasks include:

Perinatal Pelvic Health Service (PPHS)

  • Supporting the management of the electronic diary of the PPHS physiotherapies/midwives
  • Manage appointment booking for PPHS services
  • Helping to coordinate PPHS activities and reporting
  • Coordinating meetings at both local, regional and national level

Therapy Services

  • Management of the Advanced Physiotherapist Practionnaire (APP) clinics.
  • Minute taking
  • Supporting with catering labels
  • Management of room allocations
  • Supporting recruitment and leading on new starters/leavers pathway
  • Supporting with other administrative tasks such as distribution of emails/printing
  • Support with Reports

Education and professional qualifications

Essential criteria
  • RSA 2 or RSA 3 word processing/typing or equivalent experience
  • English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Diploma level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Courses / further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of working with the public and/or patients in a healthcare environment
  • Experience of interaction with all levels of staff
  • Previous administrative and organisational experience
  • Experience of managing and prioritising own workload and working to deadlines
  • Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex Problems
  • Previous experience in Minute taking.
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act.
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of NHS issues and experience of working in the NHS
