Job overview

The Capital Development Team require a Project Commisioning and Liaison Officer to  provide high quality comprehensive support, facilitate and monitor the progress of projects within Estates Facilities and Development directorate, the post holder will hold a flexible and dynamic workload. The postholder will have responsibility for managing, updating and maintaining projects and implementation processes and providing a high standard of comprehensive support focusing on commissioning and liaison of all new schemes from a clinical perspective.

Main duties of the job

The main duties are to ensure schemes can be operationalized in line with the project key handover dates.  Develops, maintain and file project documentation in accordance to the department’s standards. The post holder will be directly involved in holding stakeholder and end user meetings whilst maintaining co-ordination of the commissioning and development of the project. Maintains a professional working relationship with system suppliers, project and implementation team members and end users, and is first point of contact for project enquiries from end users and project key stakeholders. The post holder will also support Estates and Facilities and post holder will be responsible for the delivery of projects that will maximise the use of capital funds to the betterment of patients, as well as contribute to the Trust’s objectives in a safe, cost effective, efficient manner and compliant with legislation and good practice. The post holder will also represent the Trust at the Equality Diversity and Inclusivity network and be responsible for developing and ensuring Equality and Diversity Impact assessments are undertaken on all schemes.

Essential criteria
  • Good General Education
  • Previous Experience of operationalizing capital development schemes
Desirable criteria
  • Project Management qualification
  • A recognized form of computer skills training such as European Computer Driving License

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of success in leading and implementing significant change programs within an NHS or other complex organization
Desirable criteria
  • Management experience of a large multi-disciplinary team
