United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) provides a comprehensive range of hospital-based medical, surgical, paediatric, obstetric and gynaecological services to the 700,000 people of Lincolnshire and beyond.
The Endoscopy Unit’s within the Trust perform a variety of standard and advanced Endoscopic procedures for both out-patients and in-patients including; gastroscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, percutaneous endoscopic gastroscopy (PEG) insertion, oesophageal stenting and ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography). Other specialist work is also undertaken by individual consultants.
Main duties of the job
The units are moving towards a seven day a week service being open between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Our aim is to provide the very highest standards of care to patients and relatives a like ensuring privacy and dignity is maintained at all times. Reporting to the Endoscopy Support Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for meeting and greeting the patients on arrival and ensuring the paper work is prepared for their appointment while providing a professional, comprehensive and confidential administrative function to the Endoscopy Unit. Duties will also include the booking of new and follow up appointments for Urology patients, in which training will be given.
There may be occasions when there is a need to travel Trust wide to cover other sites.
Candidates should have: - Excellent interpersonal skills - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written - Evidence of the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines - Medway training & knowledge of the Endoscopy units would be a benefit but not essential.
