Do you have experience of accessing inpatient services in the last 5 years? Are you passionate about ensuring the voice of all our patients are heard and that we work together to co-produce solutions to issues identified.
This role will be to support the Every Voice Guardian and Every Voice Group as well as the Patient Experience Team to ensure patients voices are heard and acted upon using the 'Ask, Listen, Do' approach
The role is patient facing and will require a high level of patient contact both 1:1 and in groups particularly in our inpatient services. You will also be required to escort up to 3 patients to support their attendance at meetings and other events. You will be required to work with patients and other stakeholders to identify areas of concern and co-produce Quality Improvement Initiatives. The role may also involve minuting patient meetings, co-producing reports and attending both ward and other meetings.
Part of the role will also include working with the Patient Experience Team to review complaints and support accessible responses.
The working hours are flexible and you may be asked to work outside of office hours and varied hours over each week. These will be planned over a 3 month rota.
There is a requirement to travel county wide.
Main duties of the job
· Provide efficient and effective administrative and project support to the teams.
· Co-produce PowerPoint presentations and other materials for meetings, forums and events as required.
· Support Patient Partners to develop a regular Every Voice newsletter.
· Support with the development of materials, social media content to celebrate project work and co- production of feedback and quality improvement project posters.
· Organise and facilitate project groups as part of Every Voice workplan. This will include ensuring patients are supported to attend by booking transport, venues and escorts
· Organise patient, carer and staff training events and maintain a register of attendance.
· Provide administrative support for the Every Voice Group meetings and Experience of Care team. This will include organising dates and venues, taking notes, making housekeeping arrangements and preparing and distributing meeting packs.
· Maintain personal drive and motivation to achieve excellent standards of work and ensure that the needs of the patients are at the core of the services provided (consistently demonstrating the 6Cs Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment).
· Occasional working outside core business hours in order to facilitate projects.
Maintain confidentiality at all times relating to patients, staff, members, governors and the Trust.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE (C grade or above) in Maths and English Language or equivalent
- Current (last 5 years) lived experience of complex mental health needs and receiving treatment within inpatient services
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working with patients and carers and supporting their voices to be heard
- Experience of communicating with a wide range of public and staff through different media (verbal and written)
- Experience of providing administration support
- Experience of preparing and presenting reports
- Experience of creating PowerPoint presentations
- Experience of setting up meetings using MS Teams
- Experience of co-production
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within health or social care
Skills
Essential criteria
- Understanding of Microsoft Packages, in particular Microsoft word, use of email and creating power point presentations
- Ability to work on own initiative and manage own time effectively to achieve deadlines and meet competing demands
- Ability to produce accurate work of a high presentational standard
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to deal with difficult situations with tact, understanding and empathy, i.e.: verbal aggression
