Job overview

We have an opportunity for a staff nurse to cover maternity leave in the Pink Rose Suite.  The contract would run from 4th November, 2024 until 5th May 2025

Our registered Nurses in Pink Rose Suite work as part of our multi-disciplinary team and provide patient centred care for all our patients.  Duties include pre-assessment, running our busy clinics and wound care.  Working hours are 22.5 hours per week.  These are worked over 3 days between Monday and Friday

Main duties of the job

To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team undertaking duties which include

Preassessment

Co-ordination/management of clinics

Dressings

Role model to junior members of the team

Sentinel node injections (Training will be provided)

Education and qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse – in appropriate branch
Desirable criteria
  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Qualified mentor (ENB 998 or mentorship award or equivalent) or working towards
  • Evidence of Post Registration development in the relevant specialty
  • Qualified NVQ Assessor (A1 or equivalent) or working towards
  • Management qualification

Occupational experience

Essential criteria
  • Up to date mandatory training in Fire, Infection Control, BLS and Moving and Handling
Desirable criteria
  • Minimum six months post registration experience in relevant specialty
  • Experience of being ‘in charge’ of a shift
  • Training in handling and administration of Blood
  • Complaints training
