Would you like to be at the forefront of exciting new developments within Children and Young People Core CAMHS services as a Senior Assistant Psychologist?

 Do you have a passion to work with Children, Young People and their families who experience significant mental health challenges?

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and organised individual who would relish the opportunity to join the Grantham Core CAMHS Team within LPFT as a Senior Assistant Psychologist. 

We are looking for a minimum requirement of an Honours degree in psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society and experience of working psychologically with Children and Young People since graduating with a Psychology Degree. 

It is important that you have a full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle as travel within Lincolnshire may be required.

Professional and clinical supervision will be provided by a Clinical Psychologist within CAMHS and line management supervision will be overseen by a CAMHS Team Coordinator.

 All the psychologists within LPFT CAMHS work closely with the Mid Trent Doctorate Course for Clinical Psychology, (based at Nottingham and Lincoln Universities) .

You will offer psychologically informed intervention within Grantham Core CAMHS Team and will need to be able to travel within this large rural part of the county. 

Main areas of work will include providing initial CAMHS assessments, providing evidence based mental health and psychology interventions – individual and group based and assisting with service evaluation and research activities as required to support the service with ongoing review of best practice

You will need to have experience of working in a CAMHS setting and will need to evidence that they can work under pressure and provide an engaging and meaningful psychology and mental health service to children and young people and their parents/carers who are assessed as having significant mental health concerns.

LPFT CAMHS is a specialist multi disciplinary service which offers assessment and therapeutic interventions to children and young people who present with complex mental health problems as well as to children and young people who have been victims of trauma; who present with attachment difficulties.
