We are currently seeking a Medicines Counter Assistant to join our dynamic pharmacy team.

Main duties of the job
Working under the supervision of the Responsible pharmacist, carry out the day to day activities connected with sale & supply, ordering and receipt of medicines and products for retail sale.
Provide advice to patients on the use of medicines and on general health and lifestyle matters within own capability.
Receive and give out completed prescriptions under the guidance of the Responsible pharmacist, providing feedback on information provided or requested by patients.

Detailed job description:
1. To effectively handle prescriptions and associated interactions with patients, ensuring a positive and professional user experience
2. To assist in the sales of Over-the-Counter medicines and other goods, under the supervision of the Responsible Pharmacist and in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures
3.Ensuring a tidy, clean and well maintained pharmacy environment.
4.Supports pharmacy staff in unpacking dispensary orders, checking for accuracy and condition and putting them away correctly with effective stock rotation.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
