Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

Are you an experienced Band 5 or an existing Band 6 with musculoskeletal experience and interested in joining our musculoskeletal team?

The physiotherapy musculoskeletal team is dynamic and forward thinking with an excellent profile, providing a service to a wide range of in and out-patients on all three UHL sites; Leicester General Hospital, Glenfield Hospital and Leicester Royal infirmary .

Nine-month rotations are available in the following areas:
• Trauma Orthopaedics (in-patients)
• Elective Orthopaedics (in-patients)
• Out-patients at LRI, LGH and GH, including fracture clinic, telephone triage sessions and rehabilitation classes.
• Hands, Burns and Plastics (in-patients and out-patients)

You will have sound communication and team working skills and have a proven desire to work in this clinical area. Robust organisational and prioritisation skills are key, as is the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

You will receive regular clinical reasoning sessions, in service training and appraisal and you will be expected to support and supervise junior staff and regularly be a clinical educator for Physiotherapy students.

You will be expected to participate in the weekend and bank holiday rota working on the in-patient Orthopaedic wards.

No virtual interviews are possible because a demonstration of practical and handling skills will be required as part of the interview process

Gweithio i'n sefydliad

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).

We have four primary goals:

  • high-quality care for all,
  • being a great place to work,
  • partnerships for impact, and
  • research and education excellence

And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:

  • we are compassionate,
  • we are proud,
  • we are inclusive, and
  • we are one team

This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
