We are looking for registered pharmacists from all backgrounds to join our team in a variety of clinical areas.

Main duties of the job
Our Pharmacy Department is progressive, supportive and nurturing and aim to provide the best patient care possible. Join us and be a part of a workplace that looks to develop you as you progress on your professional and personal journey.
You will utilise your clinical skills and experience by providing clinical pharmacy services to wards and other areas, assisting with the training and development of others and supporting the improvement of the services. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team and will help maintain the high standard of services that are already provided. Independent Prescribing is integral to our pharmacist’s roles.
In these posts you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge and specialist skills within one of the following Clinical Management Groups:
Emergency and Specialist Medicine
· Acute Medicine, Neurology, Stroke, Geriatrics, Diabetes, Endocrinology, Infectious Diseases, Rheumatology and Dermatology.
Urology, Gastroenterology and GI/Musculoskeletal/Specialist Surgery
· Gastroenterology
· Trauma, Orthopaedics and Ortho-geriatrics
· Colorectal, GI and Specialist surgery (inc bariatrics, ENT, burns, plastics, max fax, head and neck surgery, urology and hepato-pancreato-biliary services and ophthalmology)
Post holder will be expected to contribute towards evening, on-call, bank holiday and weekend rotas.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
• To deliver a clinical service to patients, including taking patient drug histories, rationalising prescribing, advising on and compiling treatment protocols, therapeutic drug monitoring and monitoring compliance.
• To support the CMG Lead Pharmacist in maintaining and improving the pharmaceutical service to the clinical management group (CMG). · To be responsible for the delivery of an agreed standard of pharmaceutical care to identified patients in order to achieve the safe and cost effective use of medicine.

Education & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in pharmacy
- Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Post-graduate certificate in Clinical Pharmacy / Pharmacy practice or evidence of equivalent clinical experience
- Working towards completion of a Post graduate Diploma/MSc in Clinical Pharmacy/ Pharmacy practice
- Evidence of post registration commitment to continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of leadership training and skills particularly change management
Experience
Essential criteria
- Approaching 2 years (minimum) post-registration experience in pharmacy practice with relevant clinical experience
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in hospital
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Sound current clinical knowledge
Skills
Essential criteria
- Evidence of communication skills, verbal/written. Good interpersonal and communication
Desirable criteria
- Previous supervisory/management training. Evidence of management of staff in previous post
