An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Gynaecology Department as a Pathway Co-ordinator.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated, enjoy working in a challenging, busy environment and will have experience of working in a busy customer focused environment.
Your work will mainly be telephone and IT based so you should have an excellent customer service background as well as good keyboard skills and proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, HISS and Medirota are essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to build on and develop existing administrative and clerical skills. If you are innovative, motivated and look forward to new challenges then this is the post for you.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide support and guidance to patients, carers, relatives, company representatives and others making contact with the service
-
To ensure and deliver a patient pathway in accordance with local and national guidelines in relation to Referral to Treatment (RTT 18 weeks) requirements.

To prospectively manage clinic slot availability to ensure maximum efficiencies within the service to agreed templates ensuring annual leave impact on clinic utilisation is managed in a timely manner.

Use relevant CMG systems to manage patient data and the patient pathway.

Essential criteria
- 5 GCSE's or more
- HISS
Desirable criteria
- Medirota
Experience

- At least one year's admin experience
- NHS experience

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
