Health & Work Integration Programme Manager

NHS AfC: Band 8a

We take a flexible approach in terms of what we are able to offer. This means we have a variety of working patterns, full or part-time and we actively promote agile working, i.e. working where it’s most appropriate for an individual to perform their role. You will have a base at Glenfield to attend as and when required but for the majority of the time you will be able to work from home. It will be expected that you have a basic homeworking set up in your home to meet the needs of the role i.e. desk/chair.

So why not join our team and help us to deliver better healthcare, both now and in the future!

Job overview

This post is only open to all those currently working in the LLR Integrated Care System

An exciting opportunity is available to join the LLR ICB Strategic Workforce Transformation Team. This role will provide key leadership across the Health and Work (WorkWell) Programme and support the delivery of the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan, in collaboration with system health, care and employment support partners.

Main duties of the job

Work as an integrated member of the Strategic Workforce Transformation team, to ensure that the portfolio of Health & Work projects that reside as part of the Strategic Workforce function of the ICB are planned, managed, and delivered effectively. The post holder will have direct responsibility and autonomy for a portfolio of delegated projects and act as lead on several areas of strategic workforce activity, annual workforce planning e.g. Multiprofessional Education Training Plan (METP), monthly data returns and highlight reports, regularly deputising for the Strategic People Lead for Work and Health Integration, and oversight of WorkWell data returns.

Working for our organisation

Integrated Care Boards are at the heart of a new way of working for the NHS, bringing together providers of NHS services with local authorities and other local partners to plan, co-ordinate and arrange health services as part of an Integrated care System. They are part of a fundamental shift in the way the health and care system is organised – away from competition and organisational autonomy and towards collaboration, with health and care organisations working together to better integrate services, improve population health and reduce health inequalities.
