Job overview

The post holder will form part of the Radiology Team and will be expected to undertake duties within the area of Radiology administration which supports the patient's journey through the Radiology department.  Such work will involve arranging digital Radiology appointments, liaising with Modality Leads, Consultants, Speciality Booking Co-Ordinators and other external organisations and requires excellent knowledge of multiple IT systems.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to work on reception across multiple sites.  Responsible for the management and booking of digital Radiology appointments on the Radiology CRIS system and ensuring that appointment lists are fully utilised.

Entry of GP net account referrals for all patients into the digital imaging Radiology request system and dealing with patients, consultants and other members of staff.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Excellent knowledge of administration duties and hospital systems.
Desirable criteria
  • Understanding of EPR
  • Understanding of radiology examinations, timescales and system.

Essential criteria

  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Able to give a prompt and accurate response to questions and situations.
  • Speak English to an appropriate standard relevant to their role, i.e. with confidence and accuracy, using correct sentence structures and vocabulary, and without hesitation.
  • Ability to work at the different sites within the trust
