You will work within a team of Senior HR Business Partners who are also placed as leaders within divisions across the Trust, driving change and delivering effective workforce interventions in accordance with the WWL corporate objectives and business plans.  You will need to contribute and embrace these plans adding value and making the Trust a better place to work for staff, inclusive and compassionate contributing to the delivery of excellent patient care.

Main duties of the job

You will also be responsible for overseeing the effective and operational support provided to managers and employees within the division through the HR Advisory team.  The support that you and the team provide will be efficient, effective and business focused, meeting the evolving needs of managers and employees in the Trust. You will develop and role model compassion and fairness, promoting equality and inclusivity.

 

You will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and react quickly to new situations/information, having effective negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

 

You must also be able to work flexibility and demonstrate commitment which is crucial to achieving success.  This post is offered on a part time (30 hours per week) basis.  A flexible working arrangement to suit both the service and the successful team member will be agreed to secure a good work life balance.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Responsible for providing a proactive, effective and high-quality HR service as part of the HR Business Services team, contributing to both services & patient experience, which aligns to the Trust’s corporate objectives.

 

You will be responsible for leading the operational and strategic HR support to a defined part of the Trust, including advising on highly complex matters alongside making a significant contribution to the Trust’s strategic and operational planning processes.

 

As a member of the divisional senior management team, you will be responsible for supporting or leading the delivery of divisional objectives and providing business focused solutions to ensure best practice people management.

The post holder also takes the lead on agreed corporate HR responsibilities and projects supporting / deputising for the Deputy Chief People Officer / Strategic HR Lead as a senior member of the Human Resources team.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Masters in HR Management (or willing to work towards) or equivalent experience
  • Chartered CIPD membership (or working towards)
  • Degree or equivalent

Experience

  • Demonstrable senior HR experience in a large complex organisation
  • Proven response to a rapidly evolving workforce agenda, with demonstrated ability to deliver on key HR issues.
  • Experience of managing highly complex employee relations in a large complex organisation
  • HR policy development – development & review
  • Partnership working – effective working relationships with staff side
  • Leadership and management
Desirable criteria
  • NHS Generalist HR experience
