An excellent opportunity has arisen to work in the Corporate Governance Department as a Governance Administrator to support the Associate Director of Governance and the Head of Compliance in relation to clinical governance and regulation.

We are looking for an excellent communicator and a well organised individual who is forward thinking, positive and highly motivated. 

Main duties of the job

Working within the many teams within the Governance portfolio, the post holder will be line managed by the Associate Director of Governance & Patient Safety . The post holder will be required to communicate with a diverse range of people across the Trust, and coordinate a number of meetings, support the compliance function with the CQC and support the administration functions for the Associate Director of Governance & patient Safety. The post will also coordinate the Human Factors Awareness Teaching days such as preparing the paperwork for the days and supporting the booking process

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Responsible for providing a full range of administrative and secretarial support to the Associate Director of Governance and Compliance Lead, ensuring that a high quality and timely support is provided at all times including maintaining effective diary management

Communicate effectively with colleagues internally and external to the organisation.

 Action work on own initiative without direct supervision, address and redirect, where appropriate, queries to the appropriate member of the Governance Team.

To provide administrative and organisational support in maintaining Governance and Team action plans and initiatives

Administering meetings, collating papers for and minuting of these meetings, as well as generating action logs from these.

Work flexibly as part of the team to maintain an efficient service especially in times of absence, i.e. annual and sickness leave.

Support the Associate Director of Governance and Head of Compliance in managing any CQC enquiries or other regulatory body enquiries

Development of reports using the Trust IT systems or other data sources, e.g. Datix, QulikSense

Optimise the use of IT applications by using effectively all aspects of Microsoft applications to produce documentation, presentations, create databases, reports etc.

 As a member of the Governance Team, secure good and effective working relationships for both the team and the wider executive body, internally and externally.
