Pennine Lancashire are seeking experienced Band 4 Nursing Associates to join our developing team at our new Whalley site, Woodview. There are full time and part time vacancies available.

This is an exciting opportunity and the successful candidate will be part of an evolving service that has the needs of our service users at its heart. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic to come and join a forward thinking, dynamic and constantly developing team.

Main duties of the job

The team offers high quality care working with adults who require a holistic assessment and ongoing assessment. You will be working across our male acute, female acute and PICU wards. You will also work with families and carer’s and work alongside other agencies to promote well-being, support for individuals, their carer’s, and families during the process, this will include supporting service users with accommodation and finances.

You must have excellent communication skills, and a good working knowledge and understanding of adult mental health and the needs of individuals in this group.

  • On-going registration with the NMC

Knowledge

  • Can demonstrate an understanding and knowledge base of mental health conditions and their treatments
  • Can demonstrate a working knowledge of physical health conditions and the complications that this can cause to patients experiencing mental ill health

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing care needs
  • Working experience within acute Mental Health Services
