Our Vision is to provide the best mental health, learning disability, autism and community based services for the populations we serve.
As an integrated mental health, learning disability and community Trust, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including:
• Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, forensic services including low and medium secure care.
• Specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.
• Community physical health and well-being services for children and adults.
The Trust was first established in 2002 and employs approximately 7,000 staff who provide care from more than 400 sites. Job overview
We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly, courteous volunteers to help at one of our busy, diverse health centre in supporting us to meet and greet patients on arrival for their appointment.
Main duties of the job
The main focus of the role will be to sign post patients on arrival and monitor the number of patients and visitors entering the building. The volunteers will support us by greeting people as they arrive and direct them to the correct waiting area and/or to the reception desk to book in for their appointment.
Volunteers will receive induction training and will be expected to comply with all infection control policies and guidance to maintain and preserve confidentiality at all times.
Working for our organisation
This volunteer role will be supporting our teams at the Minerva Health Centre
Ideally, we are looking for volunteers who are able to support us for approx 3-4 hours during the following times:
Monday - PM
Tuesday - AM or PM
Wednesday -PM
Friday PM
