Job overview

We are a large NHS Talking Therapies service comprising 11 teams and more than 450 clinical staff, complemented by a team of Operational and Clinical leads, Employment Advisers and Administration staff.

As a service, our aim is to support more than 30,000 individuals each year across Lancashire and South Cumbria who may be experiencing anxiety or depression, and we are continuously striving to ensure that the service aligns with the Trust’s quadruple aim of improving health, providing the best possible care, that staff have joy and pride at work and that we deliver value for money.

It continues to be an exciting time for Talking Therapies at LSCFT following the restructure of the service earlier in the year, and our move to a single leadership model which places emphasis on working as “one NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Talking Therapies service”, along with co-production between operational and clinical colleagues at every level.

Main duties of the job

To support our service and to fully deliver on the opportunities brought about by our new ways of working, we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Manager to join the team. Reporting to the Associate Director of Operations, this is a new position in the service, but which will replicate the existing Business Manager function in other areas of the Trust.

In what will be a vital and fast-paced role within the service’s leadership team and working particularly closely with our 3x Service Managers, the successful applicant will lead, coordinate and support activity across the service as a whole, and be a key communication bridge and stakeholder with a range of corporate services including Finance, Digital, HR, Performance and Business Intelligence, and our Estates and Facilities team.

If you are a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who prides themselves on delivering results and building effective relationships within a large and complex environment, then this a fantastic opportunity for you to further develop your experience and skills within a senior role. You will be part of a supportive, experienced and vibrant service which promotes the Trust’s values of kindness, respect, teamwork and learning in all that we do and you will share our desire to provide an outstanding service.
