We are excited to be able to advertise for a Network Assistant development opportunity within the Bay Network.

We are looking for a highly motivated, pro-active individual who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, lots of initiative and is looking for their next challenge.  

The role will commence as a Network Assistant with a 12-month programme to support the successful candidate to develop and enhance their skills.

On successful completion of the 12-month competency based programme the role will progress to a Personal Assistant for the Senior Leadership Team in the Bay Network. 

On a day to day basis over the 12 months, you will have the support you need to learn new skills to ensure you are ready to be reactive, responsive and flex to support the Senior Leadership Team.

The post is part of a small team working across the Bay Network which comprises of Lancaster, Morecambe, Kendal and Barrow areas.  The location of the post will be flexible within the network.

While this is a demanding and busy role, the successful candidate is required to be able to demonstrate the Trust values and standards of behaviour expected by the organisation and meet the responsibilities of the job description and person specification.

Interviews for this post will take place on 26th July 2024. 

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • Provide secretarial support/cover to admin team/clinicians/management including Inpatient admin.
  • Answer telephones, taking and forwarding messages, ensuring that all telephone and personal callers receive a prompt, courteous, non-judgmental and well-informed response.
  • Respond to queries, dealing with routine matters and passing more complex queries to the appropriate member of staff.
  • Order supplies / services when required using our e-procurement service/NHS Supplies.
  • Provide an administrative support to include typing of routine information such as reports, appointment letters and other correspondence on behalf of the team, ensuring a high standard in accordance with Trust standards.
  • Attend and take minutes as directed by their Manager, administer and service meetings as required as part of the smooth running of the service.
