On 1st April 2020, North Manchester General Hospital became part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) under a new management agreement. The Northern Care Alliance NHS Group will continue to support North Manchester with its recruitment and workforce requirements until the service is formally transferred into MFT. North Manchester General Hospital has a vibrant future ahead as it works with MFT to provide better care for patients and their families in the local community and across Greater Manchester. Plans to create an innovative health campus which will see a new hospital build and the development of a ‘wellbeing hub’ that will bring health and economic benefits to the wider community.

The ARAS COPD support team at NMGH aims to provide high standard care to patients across both primary and secondary care settings.
Using up to date research based care we aim to enable patients to continue living to the best of their ability from diagnosis, acute care through to long-term management.
The ARAS COPD support team focuses on maximising care whilst minimising time in hospital.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and well organised individual with highly developed skills within respiratory care to join the team which provides:
Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Early supported discharge
Admission avoidance
Community Nurse Led and Consultant clinics
Education and Teaching for the wider community such as practice nurses, community staff and GP's
Post COVID work, supporting patients in virtual and face to face clinics.
Driving license and access to a car is essential for this role
