Assisting other engineers as required and by ordering stock as directed by more senior staff. Technical work may be required from time to time but will be under supervision.

This is a busy department, but that it is an ideal opportunity for you if you thrive in this kind of fast-paced technical environment. We’re busy, frequently working to tight timescales and juggling multiple priorities – but for the right candidate, we know this will make the role even more rewarding.

You will also be expected to be able to drive the trusts vehicles in order to provide an efficient collection and delivery of medical devices in the community. All work must attain a high level of quality and safety.

You will be expected to liaise closely with all users of medical equipment within the Trust, other NHS organisations, departmental colleagues, manufacturers and service vendors to assist in ensuring that the Trust both provides and receives the highest standard of service at the lowest cost.

Main duties of the job

You will be updating computerised record systems with details of medical equipment and arranging the collection and receipt of parcels.

Good communication skills and a professional outlook are required as you will be liaising with both companies and equipment users. You should be well organised and able to react flexibly as the work demands.

Engineering experience is not required for this post however, a practical disposition is needed and the ability to accurately record details of work is essential, as is a full driving license.

Working with us gives you the knowledge and sense of pride that every activity you do genuinely does make a difference to support our patients & staff, ensuring we keep thriving & delivering outstanding healthcare right across our local towns.

You’ll have access to varied development opportunities, learn new skills, meet fab people & do things you’d never have done.  You’ll learn about working in a hospital, interacting with people from all different roles to build skills & enhance your career path.
