Physiotherapist
NHS AfC: Band 5
Job overview
Are you a Newly qualified or recently qualified Physiotherapist actively seeking your first position within the NHS?
Are you a student keen to ease the pressure on yourself by obtaining a job ahead of completion this academic year?
Have you been out of clinical practice and are looking to make a return?
If so, Bolton NHS Foundation Trust want to hear from you!
The Trust appreciates and values the contribution international nurses bring to the NHS. We also understand the support overseas nurses need to gain full registration once in the UK (via OSCE) and therefore we only recruit internationally to fill nursing vacancies when we can ensure support is in place. At this present time we aren’t in a position to offer that support and therefore will not accept applications from overseas nurses who only have Part 1 NMC registration. If that position changes in future we will clearly advertise our opportunities for international nurses to join our nurse team here in Bolton. Thank you for your understanding.
Main duties of the job
Our Physiotherapy rotations comprise of MSK Outpatients, Acute Medicine, Complex Care, Surgery and Critical Care, Orthopaedics, Inpatient and Community Stroke, Neuro Rehabilitation, Pelvic Health, Paediatric Inpatients, Paediatric MSK, Community Therapies, Admission Avoidance, Home First and Residential Intermediate Care.
You will be supported by Specialist Physiotherapists within the relevant areas of practice and receive regular supervision in line with the Trust appraisal policy and AHP supervision guidelines. We recognise that the transition from student to independent practitioner can be daunting and we endeavour to make this as seamless as possible by means of our Preceptorship programme.
You will be required to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the service, including extended hours, weekend and participation in the respiratory on call rota on completion of your competencies.
Working for our organisation
