A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the  Intermediate Care Unit, Laburnum Lodge, Bolton. We have vacancies for enthusiastic Health Care Assistants  to join our busy and friendly team. We are looking for a motivated and experienced members of staff to be part of our team working within the Intermediate Care setting. The post holder will be fully supported during their induction period by our warm and friendly qualified staff.

Main duties of the job

The Intermediate Care  Health Care Assistant  will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team, supporting trained nursing and therapy staff in all aspects of clinical care.  Responsibility includes  physical patient care, cleaning, management of equipment and stock maintenance.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

After appropriate initial basic training and assessments the post holders will have the opportunity to  train in clinical tasks such as venepuncture, cannulation, undertake diagnostic tests e.g. recording of EGCs, blood sugar analysis

Although based predominantly in The Intermediate Care setting, rotation may be required.
