The Trust was first established in 2002 and employs approximately 7,000 staff who provide care from more than 400 sites. Engagement Officer – NHS Talking Therapies

 

We are delighted to advertise a new and exciting opportunity for two Engagement Officer roles working across our NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Talking Therapies service.

 

Following the recent national re-brand from “Improving Access to Psychological Therapies” to “NHS Talking Therapies – for anxiety and depression”, this outward-facing role will comprise of service promotion, Primary Care engagement and community services engagement, with a real focus on working with our key stakeholders in order to increase appropriate referrals into the service.

 

As a new role within the service, we are looking for candidates who are forward-thinking and can offer creative and innovative ideas in respect of the service’s engagement activity. You will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to develop meaningful relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and partner organisations.

As an Engagement Officer, you will lead our engagement and promotional activities to ensure we meet the diverse needs of local people and communities within the Lancashire and South Cumbria area.

 

A key part of our service requirement is to ensure that we reach local communities, making them aware of what our service offers and how clients can access treatment.  We have a very large service, made up of 11 teams throughout Lancashire & South Cumbria all with different populations and community needs.  Ensuring we have a united but flexible voice that adapts to all areas is key for this role. 

Crucially, you will have previously worked in a similar position concerning community or stakeholder engagement, relationship management or communications/ marketing.
