Job overview

Ward clerk to support front of the ward, answering the telephone and general administrative roles for the ward

Main duties of the job

Your role includes, maintaining case notes in good condition.
Ensure case notes have sufficient blank pages with patient identification labels attached.
Filing of results in case notes, including those case notes tracked to ‘out of ward’ areas.
Maintain appropriate manual/computerised systems and update as required.
Photocopying of appropriate documentation as directed.
Return notes of discharged patients as appropriate.
Undertake clinical coding as directed.
Answer telephones and relay messages and enquiries in a timely manner.
Monitor and maintain stationery supplies
