Have you got administrative experience and looking for a career in the NHS, this could be the job for you! 

We are looking for a hard working, organised individual, who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and use initiative. This role will involve Booking outpatient & inpatient appointments, managing waiting lists and helping with patient queries as part of a busy department based in a large Acute Hospital Trust.

The Gynaecology service hours are 8.00am - 6.00pm Monday - Friday, therefore your working pattern will be between these hours.

You will be working closely with other team members,  medical secretaries, clinicians and management team to ensure patients are managed  appropriately.

We are looking for a Gynaecology Booking Clerk on a permanent contract.

Main duties of the job

You will need to have excellent customer care skills, extensive training  will be provided to gain a thorough understanding of the trusts access policy  and the 18 week RTT pathway guideline.   

Previous healthcare administration would be an advantage  but not essential for the advertised role as training will be given.  Knowledge of using Microsoft Word and Excel would be preferable . Our Gynaecology team will offer you a supportive, friendly working environment where you will gain experience of an NHS administration format.
