Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Child)
Band 8a
Job overview
Do you want to work for one of the UK’s largest Trusts, situated in the heart of the “Garden of England”, just a stone’s throw from London and with easy, fast access to France and beyond?
As a team we are working hard to ensure we put children and their families at the heart of everything we do. We are on an exciting improvement journey and can offer you a rewarding and supported role with our care group
Main duties of the job
The CAU’s are housed within the acute children’s wards, supported by a Band 5 nurse. They are busy areas for children who have been referred either from Primary Care or children requiring a short period of assessment and treatment referred directly from the Emergency Department(ED). Support is given to the Emergency pathway to enhance the experience for children, young people and their families.
We are looking for professionals who have completed their ANP (child) training to Masters level and have previous experience of working in an Acute Paediatric area, with evidence of ongoing professional development. You must be highly motivated and possess excellent clinical skills. You will be experienced in working under pressure and have the ability to work independently.
We will provide you with a Trust and Local induction program, leadership and management development, coaching and mentoring opportunities. You will be supported by a dedicated Paediatric practice development nurse.
Working for our organisation
We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five
hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people. Our vision is 'great healthcare from great people'. Everything we do is guided by our values: 'People feel cared for, safe, respected and confident that we are making a difference’. We have a new way of working at East Kent Hospitals, called 'We care'. It's about empowering frontline staff to lead improvements day-to-day. We're looking for compassionate people to be part of our improvement journey for the patients, families and carers we care for every day.
Applications for this role should be written by the applicant. If artificial intelligence (AI) programmes are used then the application may be rejected due to this document being an important part of the assessment process. This does not prevent applicants seeking appropriate support with applications should they need to for the purposes of any declared disability.
