Job overview

We are looking for a Band 6 Musculoskeletal physiotherapist to support the MSK physiotherapy team at West View Integrated Care Centre, Tenterden. This post will also be required to work within other West Kent sites as the service demands. The West Kent MSK physiotherapy sites are; the Churchill Centre in Aylesford, Sevenoaks Hospital and, Tonbridge Cottage Hospital.

We work closely with our colleagues’ in other areas, to provide a Kent wide service. We form part of the Integrated Musculoskeletal (IMSK) service which incorporates the Community Orthopaedic and First Contact Practitioner team and, the Community Chronic pain team.

Main duties of the job

Your main responsibilities will include managing a clinical caseload of musculoskeletal patients as an autonomous practitioner. Developing and maintaining a high level of skill and knowledge in all areas of clinical practice supported by your clinical supervisor and a structured capability framework.

This role will be based at West View Integrated Care Centre, Tenterden. However, as a senior physiotherapist some travel is expected to other West Kent sites and, ad hoc throughout Kent for training and to help meet service demands.

You will be required to travel across trust sites in a timely manner, being able to drive and have access to a vehicle essential for this role, unless the reason you are not able to drive is a protected characteristic.
Full time hours are preferred. Part time hours may be considered for the right candidate at a minimum of 30 hours over 4 days.

If a suitable candidate is not found from the interview process, this role may be offered as a developmental opportunity at band 5 level. It would be expected that this candidate, following a structured competency framework, would reach competence required for the band 6 role within a 6-month probationary period.
