Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-motivated and efficient individual who enjoys working in a challenging  environment. The post holder will provide a high quality general administration service for the Specialist Nurses in the Corporate Team.

The Corporate Team is responsible for providing advice and support across the Trust in the following areas:

Dementia and Delirium
Safeguarding Adults
Learning Disabilities
Falls Prevention
Tissue Viability
Mental Capacity
VTE

You will work across the Specialist Nursing Teams to ensure the smooth running of these services for the Trust.

Main duties of the job

You will be adaptable, hardworking and have excellent communication and computer skills. You will need to demonstrate strong team working skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.

You will be self-motivated, have excellent time management and a willingness to learn new skills and take on challenges whether working on your own or part of a team.

You will be based at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury, and you will be required to be flexible with your working arrangements as you will need to also hot desk at Maidstone Hospital on occasions.

The position is for  15 hours per week, working days would be agreed with staff.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good Standard or General Education GCSE's or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Administration NVQ/Diploma Level 3 or equivalent
  • Relevant ICT qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience as an Administrative/Clerical assistant (or similar post)
  • Administration procedures
  • Secretarial Procedures
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working within the NHS
  • Health and Safety at Work Act (2015)
  • Principles of risk management

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Good organisational skills
  • Demonstrates good time management
  • Helpful telephone manner
