Full time 37.5 hrs per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, dynamic band 6 occupational therapist to join our Bromley Home Pathway team based in the community. This role provides rehabilitation to patients in their own home to enable independence.

You will have the opportunity to receive regular training from senior therapists, participate in larger MDT meetings, and develop skills to handle more complex conditions. Additionally, you will have the chance to enhance your leadership abilities through these experiences. Regular one-to-one supervision with a senior therapist will also be provided.

If you are looking for a new challenge, enjoy variety in your work, and wish to be part of a team striving to make a difference for our community by supporting people with their recovery then we want to hear from you.

Please note that the post holder is expected to work 37.5 hours a week Monday to Sunday.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will ensure the safe treatment of frail and vulnerable patients within the community. Your role will involve a variety of assessments, rehabilitation interventions, and equipment provision to ensure patient safety in a community setting. Additionally, you will be expected to work across and support all community-based and in-patient therapy services as operationally required.

You will have the autonomy to plan care in your own way, with ample time to enhance your assessment and treatment skills. Structured supervision and a clinical lead will be available to ensure you receive the necessary support.

We welcome applications from Band 5 Occupational Therapists with previous rehabilitation and rotational experience, as this position is supported. Although this is currently a static community rehab post, there is potential for it to become a rotational post in the future.

You will be required to travel between patient homes and work sites, so reliable transportation is necessary.
